Running a karting track can be hard. High overheads, low profit margins and multiple staff wages can all add together to make turning a decent profit tricky. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Most karting track owners I meet are missing out on profit-boosting sales and leaving good money on the table by neglecting the magic of upselling.

Our team is thrilled about the multitude of positive changes we've experienced this year including; investing in advanced features, adding more and more customers and expanding into a variety of family entertainment centers (FEC). While our name is well-known as the first to develop software serving the FEC market, we are excited to reintroduce Clubspeed to you, how the company has evolved and what's in store to help our customers grow their business now and in the future. 

Clubspeed offers a robust list of features for karting and activity centers that continues to grow as the demands of our customers become more complex. Clubspeed proudly sponsored the Second Annual American E-Kart Championship (AEKC) held this past weekend at Accelerate Indoor Speedway & Events in Mokena, Illinois, showcasing 22 of the fastest indoor e-kart drivers in the country. The three day event began with qualifiers on Friday, August 23^rd and completed on Sunday. Ryan Wilson emerged victorious, winning a cool $10,000 cash prize for first place. Coming in a close second, Koby Phipps walked away with $2,500 and third place Bailey Tolson is going home with $1,000. 

Founded in 2003, K1 Speed is a premier indoor go-karting center that has grown to over 40 locations in 7 countries. Offering highly-advanced, electric go-karts as well as large indoor entertainment venues that feature authentic racing memorabilia, pit cafes, meeting rooms and pool tables, K1 is a great place to visit with family and friends or to host a corporate event or party.

Sure, racing is a competitive activity, but it’s still debated amongst many whether race car driving should be considered a sport, and if professional drivers are athletes. Autobahn Indoor Speedway & Events in Memphis wanted to get to the bottom of it, so they tried out an easy experiment, surveying customers of their track between April and October of 2018.

Go karts may not be the only activity you offer at your family entertainment center, but they are surely a main attraction for customers to visit. Take your karting up a notch and add a layer of competition with timing technology.

A couple of weeks ago, we attended  the International Kart Association (IKA) annual expo in Offenbach, Germany as an official exhibitor. We were able to talk with reps from karting tracks as well as industry experts from all over the world to learn about the latest trends in track design and kart innovation.

Growing your business by adding attractions to your track isn’t an easy feat; you may not have the time, budget or space to do so. Arcade games are an activity that people of all ages can enjoy, and are relatively simple to install at your location. Read on to learn the benefit games provide for you and your customers.

On January 26 and 27, some of the Clubspeed team will be heading to Germany for the International Kart Exhibition.

Thousands from around the world will gather in Offenbach to see the latest in kart technology, racing equipment, customer engagement and other track innovations expected in the coming year for both professional and hobby karters.
